The pixels ribbons/strings are connected to these plugs which are then pushed into the connectors on the board. The controller is supplied with screw terminal plugs for each pixel port. Pixel controller pixel ribbon/string connector It responds to successive unit IDs to control pixel strings 2-4, 8 or 16. The controller is assigned one unit ID, which is the base unit ID. Sequences already written for the Cosmic Color Ribbon and Cosmic Color Bulb controllers can be used with this controller by changing the Unit IDs to align with the Pixie 4/8/16. It also supports Enhanced Pixel protocol for use with all the latest pixel support capabilities of our ShowTime Software Suite. The Pixie 4/8/16 controllers can be used with older sequences which do not use Enhanced Pixel protocol. LOR USB adapter to controller connection operating at up to 1Mbits/sec eliminates the need for a LAN. Each port can control up to 100 smart RGB pixels over a standard LOR network.
